It shows life in the big city at the turn of the century.
  • Take a look at this chart, “Commuter Pain Index” of the world’s worst cities.

  • Russia in Color from 100 Years Ago - These photos are simply amazing. From before the Russian Revolution, we see the life of those who would be so affected. To see it in color, in the opinion of this author, only brings the humanity much more to life. Share this link with your students. Show it off at the beginning of a class period.
  • Great Depression Era Photos - Everyone has seen the black and white depression era photos.  These are in color and they make the impact of these times feel closer to home.  Use suggestion.  Turn this into a 5 minute slideshow at the beginning of a class period and then have a 5 minute discussion after the slideshow.  This would be a great way to focus attention for a US History class.
  • 10 Amazing Cold War Propaganda Posters - The Cold War lasted from the end of World War II right up to the early 1990s, although the Soviet Union and the USA never actually engaged in direct battle. • So many technological advances from the Maya.  A new one just discovered.
